Supporting Small Businesses: Joyella Design

Supporting Small Businesses: Joyella Design

Are you looking for a small gift for your bookish friend? Look no further!

I’m a lover of both books and enamel pins, so when I came across Joyella Design I couldn’t help but treat myself!

The heart and soul behind Joyella Design is a lovely lady named Sam from Northern Ireland. Sam has mixed her passion for literature with a flair for creating memorable gifts for fellow book lovers. At Joyella Design you can bag yourself a hot date with a mystery book (with options from Fantasy, Historical, Romance and more), grab an enamel pin or two, choose a bookmark perfect for your next read, or pick up a tote bag, hoody or other accessories.

The first Joyella Design enamel pin to catch my eye was the Book Lover’s Decision Spinner enamel pin. What I love about this enamel pin is that it’s not just book-themed, it’s interactive too! It features an arrow you can spin to help with that tough decision when reading a book… Do you read one more page or one more chapter, finish the book, or go to sleep? We all know it’s going to be one of the first three, but which one?!

The second enamel pin that caught my eye was the Library Window. It’s a Gothic-styled arched window, complete with a cat nestling on books on the window ledge and stars twinkling brightly in the sky. What’s not to like?!

Freebies from Joyella Design.

My order was dispatched swiftly and packaged well. I was delighted to discover some freebies with my order. I got a “Dibs on the Villain” sticker, a bookmark and a “thank you” postcard with a discount code on it.

I was very pleased with the quality of the enamel pins. The two I chose are each 1.5 inches in size and have two pins/clasps each, making them a bargain at £8.99 each.

Will I order again? Definitely!

Enamel Pins by Joyella Design

UK people can order directly from Joyella Design, but Sam recommends shopping via her Etsy shop if you’re outside of the UK.

Joyella Design – Perfect for treating yourself or a fellow book-loving friend!

This post is the twenty-fourth edition of my Supporting Small Businesses series. In today’s economic climate, I think it is even more important to continue to support small businesses.

You found some really cute things! I love the decision spinner!

I always click on your “Supporting Small Business” posts with some hesitation. After all, you’ve led me to spend waaaay too much money in the past! (and I still buy from Field Notes) Yes. I will be checking out her Etsy shop.

I started doing these “Supporting Small Businesses” posts during the first Covid lockdown here in the UK. I’d been ordering greeting cards and postcards to send out “happy mail” to friends and penpals, and thought I could support these small businesses in more way than one.

  2. Kudos to you for supporting small business, especially in this day of giant online retailers swamping the market. We are in Costa Rica at present and today we bought a beautiful refillable water bottle, designed and hand painted by the fellow we met. He was gracious enough to allow us to visit his garden to see hummingbirds. He was happy and so were we – if that’s not a perfect transaction I don’t know what is.

BRAVA, Nikki, not only your contribution to Sam and her business but to the joy of all readers and pin-collectors everywhere! I love the pins you have chosen and how you have masterfully elevated this particular small business. BRAVA, again!

Thank you for sharing this small business! I love the pins you ordered especially the book lover’s decision spinner. I’ll definitely have to check out the Etsy shop.

I like the spinner also, although I took it to be for authors! I guess ‘Finish the book’ is a bit of a tall ask!
    And Happy New Year!
